The arrest of Jemin Suwanee of Varaca in the seizure of MDs worth 585,000 rupees prompted the Surat Special Operations Group (SOG) to discover an elaborate drug manufacturing unit. Savani set up a laboratory in his office to produce methamphetamine or MD. Another man, Pravinkumar Bishnoi, a resident of Bhinmal, Rajasthan, was also arrested for his connection with Savani. Interrogations by the police and SOG provided surprising details about Jaimin Savani's operations. As an MD addict, Savani got the idea of making this drug from a YouTube video. He learned and practiced the process of making MD by watching videos on YouTube. Later, he ordered the raw materials and equipment needed to manufacture the drug from abroad online. He set up a small laboratory in an office space in a shopping mall near Sarthana Jakat Naka and rented a shop under the guise of a Mehendi art course as a cover for his MD production laboratory. The police were surprised to find a complicated laboratory on the premises. Savani was captured by Bhavnagar. He admitted that he ordered the equipment from overseas because Surat did not have them. The police raided his laboratory in the shopping mall and found more than 22 kilograms of monomethylamine powder, 1.75 liters of methanol liquid, 200 grams of synthetic chemical powder, large and small beakers, flasks, adapters, connectors, electric furnaces, motors, etc. Jaimin Savani sold his MD to young people near Sarthana Naka and made them addicted to drugs. SOG PI RS Suvera stated that the defendant had been transferred to the Pune Police Station.
