From 2002 up until 2021, British television series Tracy Beaker was the hit show for teenagers and children growing up. 20 years later, the Tracy Beaker cast now have made huge strides in their personal and professional lives.

From Hollywood stardom to speaking out against trolls, let’s take a look at where the stars behind the characters are now.

The public loved Tracy Beaker so much that up until 2021, there have been multiple spin-offs of the show.

The protagonist on the show is someone who most fans want to know when wondering where the Tracy Beaker cast is now. The life of Dani Harmer stayed within the limelight after interpreting the role of young Tracy.

After the show had finally ended in 2012, she bagged the lead role as Dani for the British comedy-drama Dani’s Castle.

Other than that, she has also appeared as herself in reality and daytime TV game shows. She guest-starred in Pointless Celebrities, Celebrity Come Dine with Me and Celebrity Mastermind.

Although she had a very active career, Dani was body-shamed during her time on Strictly Come Dancing. She spoke out about the trolls and said: “I was like, ‘Holy moly, if I’m fat, God knows what other people must be thinking if they’re bigger than me!”

Dani settled in 2016 and gave birth to her first-daughter Avarie-Belle Betsy Rachel Brough, with her partner Simon Brough.

Her second son named Rowan León James Brough was born not too long ago, on February 7, 2022.

Dani returned to the role of Tracy with the reboot series My Mum Tracy Beaker, following the lives of the characters years after The Dumping Ground.

Career-wise, Lisa has chosen to focus on the spin-off shows of the Tracy Barker series.

She has relatively stayed out of the limelight, but did have a stint as Jude Korcanik in Casualty.

However, she was for 4 episodes in the British soap opera titled Hollyoaks back in 2011.

Her character in the Tracy Beaker reboot was celebrated, as it saw Cam marrying another woman. Fans of the show were excited to see her find love and tie the knot.

Tracy’s biggest enemy Justine Littlewood helped make the show so iconic. Their ‘frenemies’ relationship has been kept for all the spin-offs.

Fun fact, Montana Thompson was meant to interpret the role of Tracy Beaker herself but took the role of Justine because it suited her more.

After the third series, she starred in The Trials Of Jimmy Rose and films Gangster Kittens and Kill Or Be Killed before she gave birth to her first son in 2017.

It’s a shock that even after all these years, the actress has not changed at all.

Ruth, who played Tracy’s mother Carly, appeared on the soap EastEnders as well as the 2021 reboot My Mum Tracy Beaker.

But fans may recognise her in a new role, Netflix’s Bridgerton.

Ruth plays Lady Violet in the hit show, a different time and role completely to that of Carly. Tracy would tell people of how she was in foster care as her mum was busy being a ‘Hollywood’ star, and in some strange way it seems it’s now a full circle.

The actor has had quite a successful Hollywood career after appearing in Tracy Beaker.

In 2010, Craig rose to fame for the movie Submarine, which led him to star in other well-known movies.

He was seen in The First Time with Dylan O’Brien, Neighbors with Zac Efron, 22 Jump Street with Channing Tatum, and Kill Your Friends with Nicholas Hoult.

For those same reasons, the actor has been unable to return to portray his role as Rio Wellard in the spin-off shows.

Currently, Craig is enjoying his career not only as an actor but as a writer and director.
