Laguna CALAMBA CITY - Department of Health (DOH) The Calabarzon Regional Office is one of the recipients of the portable laboratory kit for disease outbreak surveillance provided by the ASEAN-Canada Global Partnership Project (GPP).

In addition to Calabarzon, 16 other regional epidemiology and surveillance units (RESU) across the country received the kits on August 29 at the Institute of Tropical Medicine (RITM) complex in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

Janairo said that if there is a possible disease outbreak in Cavite, Neihu, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon provinces, portable laboratory kits will come in handy.

Ramos said the field test kit includes rapid diagnostic tests (RDT) for dengue fever and viral hepatitis for "quick and easy" preliminary or emergency medical screening or diagnosis.
