Simultaneous titration of replicated samples is a suitable method to increase sample throughput because it can reduce analysis time by 50%. The Titration Excellence T9 can perform titer determinations in two independent beakers at the same time.

Synchronize two methods using towers A and B on an InMotion™ autosampler with two towers to run titer normalization at the same time. A series of sequence analysis consisting of two sample series for acid content determination began to use OneClick™.

This article uses potassium hydrogen phthalate KHP as the main standard to summarize the titer determination of 1 M potassium hydroxide KOH. Titer determination is performed simultaneously in Tower A (M811A) and Tower B (M811B). The obtained titer value can be used for simultaneous titration of repeated resin samples specified in M793.

The glass titration beaker is used to prevent any problems caused by static electricity, such as contamination of the sample beaker wall by sample powder. Weigh 0.8 g of potassium hydrogen phthalate, and put the sample into each beaker. Mark each beaker with a pen on the sample rack of the InMotion autosampler, that is, B1/A1 indicates position 1, and B2/A2 indicates position 2.

The deionized water is placed in the special beakers 1 and 2 (for InMotion Flex 100 mL: positions 16 and 15) of the two beakers. These beakers are used to clean the sensor and test tube after each sample. Place two empty beakers (for InMotion Flex 100 ml: positions 18 and 17) in the safety adjustment beaker and rinse beaker positions. These beakers are used to place the sensor at the end of the titration.

Place duplicates on the sample rack:

Pour 80 mL of deionized water into each beaker, and then use a series of sequence SSQs to start both methods on Tower A and Tower B at the same time. The sample series sequence includes the sample series of each tower A and B, and the number of samples matches.

Please note: To run more than one replicate sample, the same number of samples must be defined in each sample series. For example, measuring 7 repetitions in sample series A and B -> n=7. For each titrant KOH A and KOH B in Tower A and Tower B, the average value of the titer is saved to the burette in the built-in RFID chip.

Work areas A and B of the Titration Excellence T9 are used to run repetitive samples:

Use method M811A and method M811B to generate two sample series for titration of repeated samples:

1) Sample series "Sb850 Titer A7" (M811A), used for titer determination in Tower A:

A sort of. Enter only the number. The number of samples, for example, n = 7 means 7 repeated samples

2) Sample series "Sb850 Titer B7" (M811B), used for titer determination in Tower B:

A sort of. Enter the number of samples, for example, n = 7 means 7 repeated samples

Bay starting position-InMotion: the first MF titration stand: InMotion T/1B: 1

The second MF titration stand: InMotion T/1A: 2

The fourth MF titration stand: InMotion T/1A: CP 1

The fifth MF titration stand: InMotion T/1B: CP 1

METTLER TOLEDO instruments are used in research, scientific and quality control laboratories, as well as many other laboratories in the pharmaceutical, chemical, food and cosmetic industries. They are the global market leaders for the three most commonly used instrument groups in laboratories (such as balances, pipettes, and pH meters), and we are pioneers in the field of automated chemistry.

METTLER TOLEDO industrial solutions cover different steps in a series of manufacturing processes for many of the same customers serving the laboratory. Solutions cover everything from raw material receipt, online process control and offline packaging control to logistics and transportation. Increasingly, these solutions are fully integrated into the customer's IT environment, helping them to automate their work processes.
